A fresh year with nature taking revenge on the unscrupulous human race. Everyone out there must be up to date with the human tragedy in South-East Asia, so I won't go there. The most amazing story I read was about a surfer (British Gary Wolf) who ended up on a main road in Sri Lanka after riding the wave out. Another Brit was lucky to get dumped by the first wave in front of his hotel whilst out on a boogie board.

I've been looking at the various voluntary organisations in the hope of offering my services, but alas due to the specialized nature of humans and nature specific qualifications are required. To date 11 South Africans have been confirmed dead in Thailand.

South Africans have been collecting close on R20 million already (companies and individuals) towards the relief fund and when you see pictures like this you can't help but feel bereaved for those who lost family members -

Nelson Mandelas' son has passed away with the clinic issuing a statement on the cause of death. Mandela had his own statement saying that his 54 year old lawyer son died of Aids. Nothing short of what we came to expect of this exceptional man. As with all tsunami victims' families, our thoughts are with Mandela as well.

Not too much else happening except for a dreadful work schedule which is obviously my first priority. Apologies for this late update.

I've added some shots from my Zwartkops excursion on the First Technology racing motorcycle.
