Greg sent me this e-mail. We all know what happened at an Orange Free State university (Kovsies) a couple of months ago.

Unfortunately this is in Afrikaans (as can be expected), but those who understand this will realise that the battle has only just started :

Hi hi!

We have a situation in our country where white kids (especially) are getting fed-up with being shunted around. In general I think the country as a whole is getting fed-up with the constant bombardment from government blaming everything on apartheid and playing the race card whenever there's some sort of confrontation involving whites.

I personally get the distinct feeling that the "settlers" are no longer welcome and some black South Africans are now starting to push the envelope. Some have the viewpoint that the whites (all og them) don't belong here and life should be made as difficult as possible for them in order to get them out.

The false sentiment that the whites took full advantage of the apartheid era to better themselves at the expense of all other colours does not apply in this country anymore. Why do we only have the blacks pushing this and no Indians, coloureds or asians? Why is there a concerted drive from government and certain elements within the black community to make life as difficult as possible for others? Is it their (dare I say) natural instinct to intimidate and rob others of their culture and principles? Or is there more to it?

Our ANC leadership has fallen quiet as far as certain important issues are concerned. The only person who still has something to say is Alec Irwin, and when he does he talks through those big ears he was blessed with. Have a look at some of the articles at The Times, and see if you agree with the editor. Have a look at the blog of Urban Trash and see how the race thing pops up time and again. Have a look at my own blog and feel the hate certain blacks have for the white man.

We are heading towards something that's not going to be nice. With Eskom not supplying power, the economy that's taking a major dive due to circumstances beyond the average South Africans control, rising fuel and food prices, job losses and governments' obsessions with 2010 we're in for a tough time.

Let's have your ideas -
