A nice mix of the true South Africa against the All Blacks. The new coach, Pieter de Villiers made the choice, leaving key experienced players out - and we got a hiding. Whites don't complain about the race mix of players in soccer, why stuff around with rugby?

Deep inside me I'll always be positive about our country. Somewhere along the line sanity must surely return. This in spite of all indicators pointing the opposite direction.

We know we're in a downward spiral. With the economy taking a downward swing in most countries (if not all). Not much more to say about that, but what gets me is the link between what's happening in Zimbabwe and this country. I've always maintained that the ANC stance on Zim is a test to see what the rest of the world would do. So far not much has happened. I don't know why they were concerned to begin with. World leaders in general has turned into apologetic wimps making empty promises to nations they owe nothing to. They're allowing foreigners to dictate policy and suck their countries dry.

Holland is a prime example. Germany is next on the list. The UK is not far behind with their politically correctness reaching new highs with apologies to the Muslims for a black dog used in a police advertisement. According to Allah a black dog represents the devil. I suppose next we'll see is the total extermination of black dogs?

Holland is ruled by Muslims. Germany pays more grants to non-white immigrants than to their own. Don't forget the States where the Espanic managed to get one of their own voted in as mayor of a major city. And this boy talks tough from what I've been told. Sticking up for his own who are all "imports".

So maybe the xenophobic attacks in South Africa wasn't a bad idea at all. It could've been done without the violence and murder, but the message got through. And with Zimbabwe now in the firm grip of the military top 6 brass, who knows what will happen next. Even Bobs wife has sided with the generals as she is definitely not prepared to part with all her luxuries and riches. Mad Bob is a puppet in all this. He must've scored some ching from his good friend Mbeki (just over a million Rands I believe). Never mind what he got from other sources over the years.

Mugabe

Got a nice e-mail from Glen explaining what would've happened if Mugabe was white and this sums it up nicely -

white

But back to South Africa. Our judicial system is without honour nor justice nor integrity. A Western Cape senior judge has been accused of trying to influence other judges regarding the upcoming Zuma case. And it's all about back-stabbing and framing him. Another judge who drove through a fence now dispute camera footage and voice recordings as fake and / or manipulated. Take your pick. The man was drunk, he damaged private property and the best his defense can come up with is this?

The previous Scorpions big boss is being grilled for the reasons behind his suspension by none other than Mbeki. Turns out it's all got to (definitely) do with our criminal-friendly chief of police, one Selebi. Mbeki didn't want him prosecuted so he got rid of the top brass.

Talking of which - public debate is now open on the fate of the Scorpions. Here's an e-mail I received in this regard. Please consider this seriously and let your voice be heard :

The government remains determined to force the legislation to disestablish the Scorpions through Parliament, despite your good efforts to be heard. Parliament has today published a public notice indicating they require public submissions regarding the proposed legislation to be received by latest 12:00 on the 28th of July.

We have contacted the opposition parties and they are prepared to accept your letters by fax and email and submit it on your behalf to the chairs of the parliamentary portfolio committees. I urge all of you to write a letter today stating why you believe this will be the wrong move and that it will seriously affect your safety and the functioning of law enforcement and prosecution in South Africa. The letter does not have to be long, just specific and to the point.
There is no set format. A submission can be a simple letter of support or opposition, or it can be a longer document with suggestions for changes. The important thing is to say what you want to say clearly. The following tips may help you when preparing your submission or petition:

Usually, the shorter and simpler the better.

If your document is long, write a summary. Your summary should briefly outline your main points and recommendations. If you are making the submission as an individual, explain why you want to comment on the legislation. If you are making the submission as an organisation, describe the
organisation: Who are its members? Why are they concerned about this amendment? Does the organisation have special expertise or experience in this issue?

Explain your point of view. Say whether you want to support or oppose the matter. If you want to suggest changes, explain what they are. Use the language you feel most comfortable with.

The letter should be addressed to any of the following persons:

Mr V Ramaano or Ms P Sibisi or Mr J Michaels. Committee secretaries of the Portfolio Committee on Justice and Constitutional Development and Portfolio committee on Safety and Security
3rd Floor 90 Plein Street Cape Town 8000.

Make sure you clearly indicate your name and address.

If you wish to make a verbal presentation please indicate this in the letter and which province you wish to do this in. (Public hearings in the provinces will be heard from the 11th to the 15th of August) Or submit to your political representative:

To make it easier for here are the the opposition parties who have agreed to accept your letter by fax or email and deliver them on your behalf to the Portfolio committees. Please decide which party you wish to trust in getting your submission in front of the portfolio committee.
