Jay Zee is still on the warpath. He claims that he has nothing to hide but persist in trying to get his case thrown out of court. All to do with so-called "illegal seizure" of documents by the Scorpions and the claim that the NPA' case against him is politically motivated.

Of course the National Prosecuting Authority is standing their ground claiming to have solid evidence against Zuma. Zumas' silence on the Malema and Vavi ranting on being prepared to kill for him makes one wonder where it's going to end.

In the meantime Mbeki is being hailed by one French prime minister as the witchdoctor that will heal all in ZImbabwe. Not long ago the G8 world leaders heavily criticised Mbeki for not doing enough to stop the political violence in Zimbabwe. This sudden turn-around just because Mbeki got the warring parties to the negotiation table? That's but one small step in the right direction but the bitterness and childish behavior of all parties involved in this is laughable and makes one wonder how serious they really are about finding a solution.

A venue was booked for the duration of the two week meeting. Paid in full. Only for these baboons to start bickering about the size of their rooms. Makes one think of spoiled school kids who can't handle the other having a nicer room than themselves.

Did mad Bob agree to this just so Mbeki could save face with world leaders, but with no intention of actually handing over power? Mbeki, the master negotiator that he thinks he is must have a plan. Some political illusions and the spin doctor got Mugabe to the table? Who knows. International boycotts a problem for Mugabe and his cronies? Your guess is as good as mine.

Back in South Africa Mbeki is oblivious of the dire situation Zimbabweans find themselves in. Of course xenophobic attacks never happened. Blame it on a criminal element who just wanted the hard-working Zimbabweans' possessions.

The camps where these people found refuge are being closed down. Government insists these people must return to their homes in the townships which of course don't exist anymore. They have nothing but are expected to return to a hostile environment and start fresh? Where's the logic in this? They must all carry identification cards so that the locals know who to attack.

They reckon South Africa stands a very good chance of actually winning the soccer world cup in 2010. They're very good at beating foreigners on home soil.

With Nelson Mandela having turned 90 years of age this past month, here are some facts that everybody might not be aware of:

  • 12: The number of hours in one of his workdays.
  • July 18: Rolihlahla Dalibhunga Mandela is born a member of the Madiba clan. His tribal name, Rolihalah, means troublemaker. He is later given his English name, Nelson, by a teacher at his school.
  • 1939: Asked to leave Fort Hare due to his involvement in a boycott of the Students' Representative Council against the university policies.
  • 1943: Joins the African National Congress (ANC) as an activist.
  • 1944: Forms the Youth League of the ANC with Oliver Tambo and Walter Sisulu.
  • 1955: Freedom Charter adopted at the Congress of the People calling for equal rights and a program of the anti-apartheid cause.
  • 50+: The number of universities who have given him honorary degrees.
  • 1964-1982: - Incarcerated at Robben Island Prison off Cape Town.
  • 1982-1990: - Imprisoned at Pollsmoor Prison.

And whilst we're on this - poor F1 McClaren driver Lewis Hamilton who proclaimed at the live concert in the UK in honor of Nelson Mandela that he (Mandela) got imprisoned for doing nothing, needs to do some homework. He should stick to driving fast and keep out of public speeches. The people who fed him this information should be shot. In the end, it just shows how much people really know or care about Mandela or South Africa. And the all-girl British band that couldn't keep a tune should shoot themselves. A total disgrace and slap in the face.

Aah, I feel much better now.
