What happened uncle Bob? Here we thought all was well and going according to plan? Your epidemics are under control, your economy is going well and you had your economy under control? You didn't need anything from anyone, especially from those imperialistic British and the ignorant Americans?
You didn't need the whites, you gave productive farms to your ministers and you promised to pay your civil servants. You monopolised your retail sector so the normal man in the street could afford to at least buy a bread, you chased away the foreigners which were milking your country and you destroyed thousands of homes in order to build new ones. So, you haven't had time to build the new ones with the elections and all, but we understand that you had a lot on your plate.
Now if your "friends" would just stand up and be counted. Let's see.., there's South Africa, then there's umm, South Africa? Or did I mention them before? At this stage there's not really anyone else except for the Chinese perhaps? And with Obama being coloured and all, will he really sympathise with the black people in Zimbabwe? Me-thinks the UK and the US of A has other priorities. Like getting their economic recession sorted maybe?
Ja, the South African taxpayer once again has to pay the bill for black stupidity and of course, the world is expected to rally behind this cause. Isn't it time that all clear, logically thinking people (black and white) stand together and say "enough is enough"?
Which brings me to another point. Some extremely clever coloured person announced his intentions of having the word "coloured" scrapped from all books. Now I beg thee, enlighten us and tell us what you are. Please! The San people are coloured. They're a bit between tanned and burnt. They don't have a language (except for the Khoi) and widely adopted Afrikaans. Like the blacks, they don't have a properly recorded history. If the whites didn't record their encounters with the locals from way back then, they would have to refer to rock drawings.
Nye, they want to be classified as black. With the government policy of affirmative action and black empowerment, they want to be BLACK. Economically they reckon it'll be to their advantage. I must agree but what I don't agree with is their willingness to give up their heritage and pride.
What if I went and got a real tan, can I also be classified as black? They don't have an African tongue (an old argument from the local blacks) nor have they trekked down from the North. They've always been on the Southern tip of Africa. They're unique albeit a bit lost at this stage.
