7 April 2009

I'm at a total loss of words. We knew that Zuma was going to get away with all the charges leveled at him over the eight years of on-off court cases, but the NPA withdrawing all 16 charges just like that?

Never in a million years !

When the Sunday Times broke the story this past weekend, my heart sank. I couldn't read the article until the NPA confirmed their decision on Monday. I felt like crying.

Not out of disappointment that Zuma didn't have his day in court to prove his innocence, nor because I'm white and this black (perceived) criminal is getting away with whatever it is he's done, but for our country and it's people.

It's way too easy (and ignorant and stupid and racist) to assume that Zuma must be guilty on all charges. Come on, if you've followed this story for the past eight years you must have concluded that the man must be guilty as hell. The ducking and diving to get the case prolonged and blocking the NPA to get their hands on certain documents etc. etc., what was one to believe at the end of the day? Isn't it true that if you're accused of a crime you did not commit, you can't wait to prove your innocence in open court? Logical or not? Why is Jacob Zuma different?

The NPA says that the case was interfered with politically. They say that the man who was once in charge and who now holds a top position at the UN is guilty of meddling, and that Mbeki had a finger in the pie and all sorts of other accusations, made them conclude their final decision according to documents and all sorts of other evidence presented by Zuma in his defense.

Now, how does our justice system work? Would it be the right thing to do to follow up on this new evidence and get some justice done? One would think so. One would hope so.

As South Africans we have the right to know. Never mind the 80 million Rand spent and another 10 million in defense (by Zuma) which is all our money, never mind who did what when - why do they drop this thing as if it never happened? Doesn't Zuma want to prove to the nation that he has been tarnished and accused of all things wrong and that he will lead this country for the next four years knowing that the people understand what happened?

ZumaNo. The man walks around like someone who got away after nearly being caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He's got that smug smile of someone who knows now that he is untouchable. That's the impression I get. He still sing his machine gun song at every opportunity, yet he tells the Afrikaners that this country can't survive without them. My personal opinion is that the man knows how to bullshit most of the people most of the time. He has hidden agendas and a bunch of criminal friends. He knows he got away with everything he stood accused of (truth or false) without having to explain anything.

Let's hope that the 16 000 South Africans not in South Africa who registered to vote will make their crosses in the right block. Let's hope that South Africans in this country show their disappointment on April 22 by not voting for the ANC.

Some time ago we were told that the ANC will rule South Africa "until Jesus comes" - sounds like Bob Mugabe to me. If we don't do something about the ANC and their arrogance now, it's gonna be too late.

Farm murdersLook at the militant way Mbeki was thrown out, the constant accusations and threats from the ANC Youth League and the continuous crime and murder of innocent people, especially white farmers, the flaunting of our constitution and laws and the promotion of ANC hotshots found guilty of crime. The degeneration of our medical and educational institutions, the general corruption of SAPS and Metro staff, the collapse of government departments.

The ANC had 15 years to show us that they can get things done. Of their promises we've seen maybe 20 percent realised. And they're still promising.

I'm not against a black government (some very dear friends are black) but there must be a better alternative to the ANC.

The only other big disappointment was Trevor Manuel. How man is dancing to the ANC tunes make one sick. "Who is the Dalai Lama" he asks? Come Trevor, don't you have principles and pride! How can you sell your soul just like that!

No wonder the kids in South Africa believe there's nothing wrong with rape and theft!

..and here's another view -

ANOTHER ANC CRIMINAL GOES FREE in South Africa

I am absolutely dumbfounded to hear that Jacob Zuma’s criminal charges dropped on technicalities. This does NOT mean he is innocent it just means he got off on a technicality.

The NPA are obviously protecting their jobs. They saw what happened to the Scorpions.

If I was Zuma being falsely Accused and I was innocent I would have insisted on going to trial to prove my innocence. Sheik was found GUILTY therefore it follows that Zuma cannot be innocent. Now that the Scorpions have been closed down by the ANC and the National Prosecuting Authority is now Bung Brook and under the control of the ANC it begs the question.

WHO IS GOING TO ARREST THE ANC CRIMINALS?

I supported and trusted the Scorpions and even referred many cases to them. The NPA are now ANC “YES MEN” COWARDS, so who can we trust? Who do we report crime to? The Police are obviously using Robert Mugabe’s instruction manual.

The ANC Government South Africa is the most incompetent corrupt government we have ever had in South Africa. Almost every ANC Municipality is Bankrupt. Mismanagement, Bribery, Fraud, Theft, kick backs and Corruption everywhere.

Jacob Zuma says he is a man of GOD????????????????????

All I can say is GOD is watching and so are the rest of us Law Abiding Citizens.

We need Zero Tolerance on all Criminals.
