Once again the ANC triumphed. Seems there is no stopping them. So they got a bit hammered this time by the DA and COPE (the new kid on the block which is the ANC just in another incarnation), but they still got the most votes. What amazes me is the attitude of voters - if the ANC cannot provide we'll still vote for them, but we'll strike, protest, dance, etc. if we're unhappy. Seems that's the way they play it. And of course the rural areas; my goodness, do these people actually know that there are other parties to choose from? I doubt it. It's been predicted and it's been lay ed out for all South Africans that the Western Cape will be the last bastion of civilised rule in Africa. I don't know what the problem is in the rest of South Africa but it's time that more and more "civilised" people move their operations and households down here. Slowly but surely we've seen an influx of blacks in the region and that's where all the ANC votes come from. These people are mostly foreigners and have been promised the world by the ANC led government. Like 1994, when busloads of Mozambicans and Zimbabweans were bussed into the country with promises of overflowing riches and a better life. This is fact. Zuma now has the envies position of getting our economy back on track. When the canvassing started we started feeling the pinch of the worldwide recession. Now his excuses does not make sense. Surely you base your election campaign on the current situation first, anything more is a bonus. No excuses, I'm sorry. What you promised you'll deliver. You surely must plan for worse times. But that's the way indigenous Africans reason, the now is important and nothing else matters. That's tomorrows problems. If you had any doubts about the ability of black people (again, in general) to rule themselves, check this out..., then make up your own mind. This is the mail I got : I'm not ever in the habit of promoting African American Baptist preachers, however fiery & entertaining they may be. This is one massive exception - I exhort you, I URGE you to please watch this Youtube video before it gets pulled - click on the link below to watch. Be assured, this is electrifying stuff - pastor James Manning's video should be broadcast by the SABC 24/7 for the next 30 days. And if it's not available anymore, let me know as I have it. There is another clip also by the same pastor. The second clip is here. Then there is Julius Malema - what a "mampara"! This man knows no bounds. Nandos (a local and not so local chicken outlet) flighted a TV advert on "change" which the ANC reckons we need. Malema is wounded like a three legged dog facing a hungry lion with nowhere to go. The man tried to bribe and then moved on to a typical ANC tactic of threats. No he's threatening with a country-wide revolt against Nandos. This clip is hilarious and so typical of Malemas' intelligence (or lack thereof). Back to the more "traditional" rantings. The following from Doris - How many blacks died during Apartheid? Let's have your ideas - |
